Deputy Prime Minister and Member-of-Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, Mr Teo Chee Hean specially allocated time before an upgrading talk across the blocks to send his well wishes to Tzu Chi volunteers and residents for the coming Lunar New Year.

Ever since Tzu Chi Singapore moved its branch office to Elias Road in 2005, Mr Teo had graced numerous Tzu Chi activities and is no stranger to Tzu Chi’s recycling efforts. Knowing that Tzu Chi has been lending its hands in various worldwide reliefs, Mr Teo is glad that Tzu Chi is also contributing at the local community level. Mr Teo further commented that resource recycling is important as it not only creates awareness among the residents but also fosters a sense of community cohesiveness in the heartlands.

At the end of the short visit, Mr Teo hopes that Tzu Chi Singapore would continue to share with local residents on how everyone can contribute and play their play in saving the environment through simple recycling efforts.
